Cost per funnel stage
Cost per funnel stage shows what you pay to get a lead to each step of your funnel. It's one of the clearest ways to see whether Scowtt is bringing in better leads, not just more of them.
How it's calculated
Divide your ad spend by the number of leads that reached each stage. For example (illustrative numbers only):
| Stage | Count | Cost per stage |
|---|---|---|
| Spend | $10,000 | |
| Leads | 200 | $50 |
| MQLs | 80 | $125 |
| SQLs/SQOs | 20 | $500 |
| Won | 5 | $2,000 |
Why it matters
Scowtt often lowers the cost of later stages, like a qualified opportunity or a closed deal, even if cost per lead stays the same or rises. That's why pilots are judged on cost per qualified outcome, not cost per lead.
Where to see it
In Google Ads, you can add custom columns that show the count and cost of each Scowtt funnel stage side by side. See Set up Scowtt reporting columns in Google Ads. Your pilot readout compares these costs between the Scowtt and BAU arms.
