Share data through Amazon S3

You keep full ownership of your S3 bucket. Your team creates a role in your own AWS account that gives Scowtt read-only access to a specific bucket or folder. No access keys or long-lived credentials are ever shared, and you can revoke access entirely on your end at any time.

Steps

  1. Receive Scowtt's details

Scowtt sends you its account details and a unique access ID for your integration, along with policy templates.

  2. Create an IAM role

Your team creates an IAM role in your AWS account using those templates, scoped to a dedicated bucket or folder.

  3. Send the role details

Send your Scowtt team the role details, bucket path and region.

  4. Validate and turn on recurring reads

Scowtt validates access, confirms your historical backfill with you, and turns on recurring reads, ideally hourly.
